Who we are

Fethr (“we”) is the developer of the Fethr app for iPhone and the website at fet.hr. If you have a question about anything here, write to support@fet.hr.

What we collect

Your account

A Fethr account is a handle, a display name, an optional bio and profile photo, and a password. Accounts are created with Sign in with Apple or Google; we use that sign-in only to confirm you are the same person each time and to suggest a handle. We do not ask for, store, or display your email address, and we cannot email you. Our authentication provider (Supabase) holds the identity record that Apple or Google issued.

What you record

The content of the app is content you make: timeline records, text, photos, voice recordings and their transcripts, journal entries, drawings, events, pinboards, saved places, bookmarks, and comments. We store it so the app can show it back to you across your devices.

Location

Only when you ask for it. Location is read when you make a check-in, when you use the Quick Check-in widget, and to geotag a photo you take inside the app. It is stored as part of that record, on your private timeline. Fethr never reads your location in the background, and the app works without location permission.

Photos, camera, microphone, and speech

The app asks for the camera when you take a photo, the photo library when you choose one, the microphone when you record audio, and speech recognition when you ask for a transcript of audio you recorded. Each permission is requested at the moment you use the feature, each is optional, and declining one only disables that feature.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications, we store the device token Apple issues so we can deliver them. Notification types are individually switchable, and the daily journaling reminder is off unless you turn it on.

Technical data

Our servers keep ordinary operational logs — request times, error traces, and rate-limit counters — for security and debugging. Fethr contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party trackers, and we do not build advertising or behavioural profiles.

Who can see your content

Your timeline, your events, your pinboards, and your saved places have no audience at all. They cannot be shared, and they never appear on a profile or in anyone’s feed.

The only content that can leave your account is a journal entry you choose to share, which then appears to the people who follow you and on your profile, and content you send directly to someone. You can unshare an entry at any time. If your account is private, followers require your approval.

Photos, audio, and other media live in private storage. Every request for a media file is checked against who is asking before a single byte is served; media URLs are not public links.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use these providers to run the service:

• Supabase — authentication, the database, and private file storage.
• Vercel — hosting for the servers the app talks to.
• Apple Push Notification service — delivering notifications you turned on.
• Google Maps Platform and Kakao Maps — turning coordinates into place names when you make a check-in or search for a place. These receive the coordinates or search text for that lookup, and nothing about who you are.

We do not send your content to any AI service. One internal feature (Group sync) can pass selected content to a language-model provider; it is restricted to developer accounts and is not available in the released app.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people using Fethr.

How long we keep it

Your content is kept until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting a record, an entry, or a board removes it. Operational logs are short-lived and are not used to reconstruct your content.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Settings → Delete account. After two confirmations, your account and everything it made — records, events, journal entries, pinboards, photos, audio, and your profile — are deleted immediately and permanently. There is no recovery, and no waiting period. You can also write to support@fet.hr from an account you control and we will do it for you.

Your rights

You can see and edit everything in your account from inside the app, and you can delete any of it, including all of it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data or to object to how it is handled — write to support@fet.hr and we will respond.

Children

Fethr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Where data is stored

Fethr’s servers and database are hosted in the Asia-Pacific region, and your data may be processed in other countries by the providers listed above. We require the same protections wherever it is handled.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who can see it, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app before it takes effect.
